Winter Tale by PedroQuintela1
Like Walt Disney once said "If you can dream it, you can do it". I stood by those words in many occasions in my life and still do despite my age, because there´s not many ways to escape to the harsh reality. So using those visions on my captures is naturally a step on that world. Curiously the teddy bear Bokeh is with me since I was born, so there´s a bit of my life here as well. This image is the continuation of the previous teddy bear Bokeh´s set, with some fantasy on it. Was shoot at 1400 m on the high mountain on a lovely snow day. Since I didn´t buy yet the flash I had to use a double exposure to preserve the highlights and shadows, getting a nice dynamic range. I hope you like this different approach on my work. Sometimes diversifying is needed, also as dreaming! As usual I send you my gratitude to everyone of you that motivate, support and help me in every way. At this point I admit my profound love of Monsanto and I´m willing to visit my dame again. But since I´m at home killing time due to a sprain only can do it virtually. After reading such light novels as War and Peace, see Grey´s Anatomy since season one and clean every inch of my photo equipment, I decided to visit one of my hard drives digging for an image. And find a group of three captures witch I combined in a Panorama . They made part of a large set I shoot nine months ago and called Across the Horizon. So it will ease my pain, not the foot´s because I´m on pills, but my heart aches so badly for Monsanto. :) If you have the time or interest please join me in a virtual tour on this streets and feel the gentle whisper of love... Come rain or shine I will be out there shooting the world and its mysteries. No matter what, my camera will be prepared to get my moment, my unique vision of what Mother Earth once made. My today´s image makes part of a different kind of sets that I´m creating. Using a person on my landscapes adds not only a convenient scale but also tries to connect with the viewer.because our eye seeks for familiar things. In this particularly case is also a tribute to our craft and the our endless chase of the light. Like the great German photographer August Sander once said "In photography there are no shadows that cannot be illuminated". Thank you all that somehow help me to improve and make my days special.
