Earlier this year I had the opportunity to spend some time at Lake Clark National Park, Alaska the main focus of the trip was to photograph coastal brown bears. Alaska has always inspired me the call of the wild one of the last great wildernesses on earth. It has been at the top of my wildlife photography wish list for a long time as I am sure it is the same for most wildlife photographers so when the chance came up to visit earlier this year I was very excited about having the opportunity to visit America's last frontier. Having spent a few nights in Anchorage which is Alaska's biggest city I had still not seen the true heart of Alaska's wilderness. When the day came and I boarded the sea plane which would take us on the short flight to Lake Clark, Flying above Anchorage you soon realise that it is a big city lost in the vast wilderness, from the air you could see exactly what I had hoped for lakes,meadows,mountains and forests as far as the eye could see. Our lodge during our time there was the Alaska Homestead Lodge. Upon arrival we had a warm welcome from the staff threw in our bags and headed straight out whilst the light was nice for our first afternoon session with the bears. Like Walt Disney once said "If you can dream it, you can do it". I stood by those words in many occasions in my life and still do despite my age, because there´s not many ways to escape to the harsh reality. So using those visions on my captures is naturally a step on that world. Curiously the teddy bear Bokeh is with me since I was born, so there´s a bit of my life here as well. This image is the continuation of the previous teddy bear Bokeh´s set, with some fantasy on it. Was shoot at 1400 m on the high mountain on a lovely snow day. Since I didn´t buy yet the flash I had to use a double exposure to preserve the highlights and shadows, getting a nice dynamic range. I hope you like this different approach on my work. Sometimes diversifying is needed, also as dreaming! As usual I send you my gratitude to everyone of you that motivate, support and help me in every way.
