Please find more information HERE It's interesting to me how a story can unfold in a chaotic mess of branches and leaves. We all see things differently, but you know what I see here? I see this one little, skinny, unassuming branch, doing it's hardest to reach out and get as much sunlight as it can on it's two little leaves so it can grown big and strong like the rest its fellow branches. The rest of the clan gather around, young and old, to watch the little guy go. Maybe they are surprised at the unexpected performance this little runt of a branch was able to pull off, as it arcs up, pridefully positioning itself in a stance of accomplishment, chest out, head high, soaking in all that sun on it's face with figurative eyes closed in pleasure. Do you see it? The charm... the character? Or do you just see a bunch or leaves composed in a kinda sorta organized way around a setting sun... with this one weird branch getting in the way and cutting through the horizon, breaking a 'rule'? Questions I asked myself, and that were asked of me when trying to decide if I like this shot or not. I like it. Yeah, it's nothing ground breaking, but it does tell that story to me, and it also represents a great time I had, with my wife, on the island of Kauai. We had the pleasure of staying in a really nice resort just a ways up the beach to the right of this scene, and I took a stroll one evening through these groves of trees right on the shore in Hanalei bay, grabbed this shot, and returned to find my wife waiting for me on the deck, enjoying a cocktail before we headed off to have dinner. Just reliving the evening through my mind makes me want to take a deep breath of relaxation I felt while there, and it's those kinds of moments that make an image special to me.nice wallpaper picture free download via 500px http://ift.tt/1HGuA6u
