Winter has been almost completely non-existent here in the Pacific Northwest this year. Thankfully, I was able to make it out for a couple of trips to the mountains during the brief amount of time there actually was snow. While many people have welcomed the early Spring weather and cherry blossoms already starting to fade and fall off the trees, I see things differently and wish we would have had more snow (a lot more snow out in the mountains) and I'm a bit fearful of what it might mean or what is to come in the future. Meanwhile, my family in the Midwest has had one of the coldest, snowiest winters on record. We could definitely use some of that cold, snowy love out here in Washington State. Anyhow, enough of my little rant. Here is an image taken a few months ago when I was lucky enough to actually see snow this winter and feel it under my feet.
