Please view this on black. I've been gone working and then taking some personal time, so I have been a little out of the loop the past few weeks over here. But I just wanted to check in real quick, drop an image off, and see if anyone remembers who the hell I am. lol This image is the result of some really interesting conditions out in the Alvord Desert of southeast Oregon. Almost a whole week of intense wind covered much of eastern Oregon a thick cloud of dust that didn't let up for days. Many meteorologists theorized that most of the dust that covered much of the state originated here in the Alvord. Being in the thick of it meant poor visibility, EXTREME winds, and not much optimism for interesting light. Fortunately there was a small break in the dust right around sunset that let this through for a few minutes, so I fired off this quick series of focused stacked images while lying on the ground to put emphasis on the interesting textures in the dried mud (caused by freezing and frosting over). Much of the warm light you see isn't actually on the clouds, rather the immense amount of dust that was filling the air. Nothing new or original here, just a beautiful moment comprised of interesting conditions. Anyways, I recently released a new post-processing instructional video. It's packed with some unique techniques and theories about processing you may not find anywhere else. People seem to really be enjoying the videos and have had nothing but great things to say, so I *think* they are helping people... it's been awesome to see the many before/after shots people have been emailing me. Be sure to check the videos out if you are into that sort of thing. It's all on my website, as well as more photos, photo tour info, processing instruction via Skype like everyone else is doing, etc, etc. 2015 Tour Schedule Arctic Light Workshop - With Arild Heitmann (FULL) Processing Tutorial Videos Processing Instruction via Skypenice wallpaper picture free download via 500px http://ift.tt/1AqduHj
