Buachaille Etive Mòr | Glencoe | Scotland This photo was made during our recent trip to Scotland. Our first stop on the way to Skye was Glencoe, where we arrived in the evening when the sun was already gone. After dinner we went back to our car and were amazed by the clear sky and the billions of stars that were visible thanks to the remote location. Of course we had to capture this beatiful scenery and went to the next location, a small waterfall only 20 minutes away from Glencoe. Taking the photo was more complicated than I estimated, because the waterfall lies in a little hollow and was completely dark! Even with high very ISO values it was impossible to the get the picture as a single shot without startrails. So I decised to compose the picture of two exposures, one with 30 seconds for the sky and one with 600 seconds (!) for the foreground (both at f2.8 and ISO 3200). Even now it is a bit dark from a technical point of view, but I think it reflects the atmosphere perfectly!
